There was once..
The fairy tale of Koonings The Wedding Palace started in 1968 when Jos and Jo Koonings started a clothing workshop. Location: the barn next to their house in Zeilberg. The range was soon expanded to include wedding dresses. Hooray, Koonings Bridal Fashion was born! Due to the great success, expansion was necessary. A move to a more spacious building on Kerkstraat in Deurne followed.
At 14, Ineke started working in the studio of her aunt Jo, who later became Mrs. Koonings. She learned the tailoring trade's intricacies and later threw herself into making wedding dresses. Ineke's daughter Ramona was 14 years old when she started working as a coffee girl. In no time, she developed into an enterprising saleswoman brimming with ambition.
2000 - 2014
At 17, Ramona gets the chance to take over the business from her uncle and aunt together with her mother. As a young entrepreneur, she soon takes the initiative to include wedding suits in her collection and wedding dresses. Koonings Bridal Fashion becomes Koonings Bride & Groom. Over the years, the family business expanded with a men's store, a women's store with evening wear, and a branch in Den Bosch.
To receive customers in one place, Koonings moved in 2005 to a prime location on the outskirts of Deurne. Whoever thought that Ramona's dream was fulfilled with that is wrong. After a significant renovation, the grand opening of Koonings The Wedding Palace at Ducat 5a will follow in 2014, where you will be immersed in the magical world of getting married.
