    • About this position

    As a Financial Controller, you will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing the financial performance of both Koonings and Kasteel Oost. You will ensure reliable financial reporting, support management with clear analyses, and actively contribute to the further professionalization of the finance department.

    What will you do?

    • Preparing, analyzing, and presenting monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
    • Accurate processing and management of accounts payable and accounts receivable
    • Processing and Managing Bank Transactions
    • Monitoring the financial health of both organizations.
    • Preparing budgets, forecasts, and liquidity projections.
    • Identifying financial risks and opportunities for improvement.
    • Analyzing revenue, margins, cost structures, and returns.
    • Providing management information and financial reporting.
    • Ensure that the financial records are processed correctly.
    • Optimizing and automating financial processes and systems.
    • Provide support for investment analyses and strategic decision-making.
    • Preparing financial statements and overseeing audits.
    • Monitoring budgets and advising departments on financial matters.
    • Ensuring compliance with financial laws and regulations.

    Who are we looking for?

    We are looking for an experienced finance professional who can maintain an overview, bring structure to the work, and enjoys working within an ambitious and growing organization.

    • A level of work and thinking equivalent to a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Business Economics, or Accounting.
    • At least 5 years of relevant experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or in a similar position.
    • Excellent knowledge of financial accounting, reporting, and management accounting.
    • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
    • Strong analytical skills and experience with KPI management.
    • Experience with ERP and financial software systems.
    • Proficiency in Excel and financial analysis tools.
    • Experience with process optimization and automation.
    • An interest in retail, hospitality, leisure, or events is a plus.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • An independent, meticulous, and professional work ethic.
