Ramona Koonings is a Dutch fashion and wedding dress designer, stylist and TV personality. Ramona has made a name for herself with her Wedding Palace on TLC's reality TV show "Say Yes to the Dress" which airs in over 145 countries around the world, making it the most watched program on TLC.
Ramona's story begins as a 14 year old girl in Deurne. Here she grew up together with her 3 sisters. At a young age she starts working in her Aunt Jo's fashion store, where she started as a coffee girl. It quickly becomes clear that Ramona has a gift for selling and creating wedding dresses. Through her upbringing Ramona has learned to be hands on. This came in handy when she got the chance to take over her aunt's business at the age of 17.
Ramona knows exactly what she wants and immediately takes a big approach by offering not only wedding dresses but also wedding suits. Koonings Bride & Groom is born.
Ramona has always had a great vision for her business. Staying small was not an option. She quickly saw opportunities in expanding her collection. Room also had to be made for gala, children's & a bridesmaid collection.
In 2013 Ramona had the opportunity to rent the entire building in Deurne. With this she makes the leap to the largest bridal business in the Netherlands.
Her motto "If you can dream it, you can do it" this is something she strives for every day.
Ramona has always wanted to create a unique experience for her brides. The bride must feel as if she has ended up in a fairy tale. This experience could only be realized by expanding even more.
In October 2018 Ramona opened "The West wing" a gigantic extension of the property that Koonings The Wedding Palace can now proudly call itself the world's largest bridal fashion store.
But Ramona is not only the largest bridal fashion queen in the Netherlands. Besides being a stylist, Ramona is also a Designer. The House of Bridal Collection stands for unique dresses that make every bride shine. The Ramona Koonings Couture is created for the bride who wants to be seen and be the shining centre piece on her wedding day.
