Yes – at both locations we have our own workshop where talented and passionate seamstresses will customize your clothing to your needs. This involves customization, which comes with individual costs. Your stylist will be happy to inform you about the corresponding prices. However, the important thing is: your wishes know no limits! Would you like to remove the sleeves, adjust the dress to your curves, shorten it a bit or add some more lace and glitter? The stylist will gladly look at your wishes and the possibilities with you during the appointment.

Because of our decades of experience, we know exactly how much effort which adjustments require and can therefore quote you the prices of the desired changes already during the consultation. As a small indication: on average brides spend between €150 and €500 on additional adjustments to the dress – of course depending on their very personal wishes.

We are very selective and careful when it comes to handling our store and our exclusive collections and would like to ask you to understand this. – Because we want to give our carefully selected, stunning wedding gowns and beautiful costumes the proper stage, taking photos and videos is not permitted in the fitting rooms. If photos and videos are taken in the other rooms, the privacy of the other guests must be respected. Filming or photographing our stylists is allowed only with the permission of the person(s) concerned.

– Our mission is to offer you a true Koonings experience, where all garments are presented to you by our experienced team. Of course, you do not have to search through the collections yourself, but you will always be assisted by professional stylists.

– Delicious drinks and homemade dishes are prepared especially for you in our restaurants. You understand that therefore consuming your own refreshments is not allowed in our wedding palace.

– Small or large, pets are unfortunately not allowed to enter our castle. Of course, assistance dogs are always welcome to accompany their owners.

Cash payments are allowed, however, we do not accept €200 and €500 bills.

During your appointment everything revolves around your unique moment! We reserve a (bridal) stylist and your own fitting room for 2 hours, so you can find your dream outfit in peace and with full attention. We ask a small fee to guarantee your appointment with care. We reward that investment with an €85 discount if you find your dream outfit during the appointment.

Yes indeed. For lunch, dinner or just a drink you can visit the restaurant Mon Rêve in the basement of Castle East. You understand that therefore consuming your own refreshments is not allowed in the bridal store.

The restaurant Mon Rêve, the future Hotel Castle East, the orangery and our Beauty & Hair Salon will be open to everyone during the corresponding opening hours. Only the wedding and event venue and an appointment to look for a wedding dress require an advance appointment.

The Koonings branch in Valkenburg currently offers a wide range of bridal, menswear and children’s clothing. For party attire for guests and a wider range of menswear, we would love to welcome you to our main branch in Deurne.

For location Valkenburg we have, upon prior notification, a fold-out wheelchair ramp available to enter the castle. Inside the castle there is an elevator, so the different floors are also accessible.

Together with our stylist you will search for the perfect outfit that suits your needs and wishes. To provide you with the best possible service, we ask you to inform us of your disability in advance.

The Koonings bridal store in Valkenburg is located in Kasteel Oost. The castle is located at the beginning of the castle route in Valkenburg and only 900 meters from the city center. The entrance on Oosterweg is marked by a wrought-iron gate guarded by two stone lions. Beyond is the castle’s inviting forecourt. Straight ahead is the entrance to the castle, which can be reached by a stone staircase and leads you directly to the bridal store.

Yes, you can. You can use our own large parking lot around 80m in front of the Castle on the straight. Follow the signs here.

Unfortunately, there is no charging station for electric cars at the Koonings’ Valkenburg location.

You can park for free in our customer parking lot directly in front of Koonings The Wedding Palace. Enter the address Dukaat 5a, 5751 PW Deurne into your navigation system and follow the directions to the fairytale wrought iron white gate, which will automatically open for you. Follow the path to the wishing fountain in which the swan couple is swimming and find a suitable parking space here, from where you can go directly to the main entrance of Koonings The Wedding Palace.

We have two electric charging stations for the electric car. These are located on the side of the building near the entrance to Koonings Beauty & Hair.

Because wedding gown delivery times vary, we recommend that you schedule your first appointment with us at least 8 months before your wedding date.

We have our own workshop where we can have your wedding dress altered to your specifications. You will discuss the extra costs with your stylist personally. More information can be found at “Frequently asked questions – General”.

There is no set rule on this question, as it depends on many factors. On average, a bride takes 4 people as her entourage. For a groom, the average is 2-3 people. We know from experience that the more people you bring, the more difficult it often becomes for yourself. After all, everyone has an opinion and too many opinions often leads to confusion. If you do want to bring more people, this is no problem. We would appreciate it if you mention this when making your appointment, so that we can take this into account when planning the fitting rooms. For follow-up appointments to try on and pick up your dress, you usually bring one or two people entourage with you. For larger parties, our special VIP lounge is perfect. In our store we have a separate department of accessories, jewelry, underwear and shoes. This allows you to complete your wedding look and immediately see which accessories, jewelry and shoes look best with your dress.

The dresses shown on our website are an indication of all the dresses we have hanging in our palace. We have over 4,500 dresses in stock, so there will always be dresses similar to those shown on the website. The new wedding dress season begins in the fall. Therefore, most of the dresses arrive around that time. In between, the Koonings collection is regularly updated with new dresses. This way we always keep our collection up-to-date and complete.

We have different colored wedding dresses in our assortment. For example, we have a range of pastel colored wedding dresses as well as brightly colored dresses. In addition, it is sometimes possible to order a particular model in a different color. Our stylists can advise you perfectly about this.

Yes, at Koonings you have come to the right place! Unfortunately, some women still think that there are no wedding dresses for fuller sizes. But did you know that the average size of brides is size 42? When purchasing our collections we take into account all shapes and sizes a woman can have. We find it very important that everyone can get married in a dress she feels comfortable in. Our dresses therefore not only vary in style and model, but also in size. We have wedding dresses up to size 54 in our store. We have opportunities to try on dresses for every size.

When a Koonings bride plans to lose some pounds, we postpone the pinning of the dress to a later stage. This way you have time to reach your target weight. In addition, the stylists always take your measurements at every fitting session so that the dress is perfectly tailored by our experienced tailors from the Koonings atelier.

First of all, congratulations on your pregnancy! We also welcome a bride who is expecting! At Koonings there are several possibilities when it comes to pregnancy. Our stylist will discuss all these options with you and knows exactly which models are suitable for you and our atelier can alter the dress if necessary.

You certainly can! Ramona Koonings is not only the owner of Koonings, but also the designer of her own ‘Ramona Koonings’ collection. Together with Ramona or one of our specialized stylists we will look at your wishes. These will be worked out in detail and produced, so you will ultimately shine on your wedding day in your own designed wedding dress!

For a fitting at Koonings, you don’t need anything except a good mood and fun entourage. We provide the shoes, undergarments and all other accessories. If you would like to wear certain items of your own during the fitting, you can and may of course do so at any time.

You can find your dream dress at Koonings starting at €1495. The average price of a wedding dress is between €1500 and €2250.

You can also come to us in higher and lower price ranges. Then keep in mind that the selection of wedding dresses is not as large. Whatever price range you choose, you will always get the same magical Koonings experience and personal attention.

Picking out the wedding dress begins for most brides a year before the final wedding day. We therefore recommend stopping by 12 months before your wedding date. Picking out the wedding dress often plays a big role in the wedding preparations, so it’s nice if you don’t wait too long with this. We recommend that you start your search for your wedding dress at the beginning of your preparations. If your dress has to be ordered, then the delivery time can quickly increase, depending on the supplier. In many cases, however, we have the dress in stock and you can continue your preparations with peace of mind.

An accident is easy to happen. If an unexpected stain gets on your wedding dress, you can always come back to us so we can help you put it back together. Unable to do that? Then contact us so we can advise you further. Always bring needle, thread and skin-colored plasters with you, just to be sure.

Are there still wrinkles in your veil and/or dress, for example from transporting your wedding dress or veil? First hang the dress and veil out to air. Often the wrinkles will recover by themselves. You can also steam a little with your iron or a steamer, but always do this from a distance and make sure the hot sole of the iron does not touch the veil and/or dress.

Our experienced stylists will take you by the hand and will do everything to make you feel good and get the right dress, but you can also do some things yourself beforehand:

• Don’t bring too much entourage. The more people, the more opinions, and it can be quite overwhelming if everyone recommends something different. Two to four people entourage is enough to get a nice idea of what suits you. And the rest of your family or friends can admire the dress in the upcoming fitting sessions, or on the big day itself!
• Put together a mood board. On our site you can already scroll through a large number of wedding dresses. Save these and bring them to your appointment. This way you give our stylist a good idea of what you are looking for.
• Think about your budget. In our wedding palace, you have dresses from many different price ranges. The stylist will ask you about your budget so we know what to look for.
• Don’t wait for the happy tears. You may think after watching dozens of romantic movies that it’s part of the process, but most brides in our wedding palace don’t need to cry when they first stand in their dream dress. Save those happy tears for the big day itself.
