Patricia and Stephan’s wedding is on the schedule. They didn’t have to wait long, because after they were surprised with the news that they were going to get married after all in this season of Married At First Sight , they only had to wait three more weeks in suspense. Since this couple started the experiment a bit later, this wedding will be a real whirlwind affair. There’s no time for a party or a hotel stay. After Patricia and Stephan get married, they’ll head straight off on their honeymoon. Fortunately, the couple’s family and friends fully support the experiment and are happy for this bride and groom. We’re definitely giving 100 points to Patricia’s incredibly fun and friendly mother. Stephan had a little trouble understanding her Brabant accent at first, but his first meeting with his future mother-in-law went incredibly well. Patricia meets Stephan’s sister, and that meeting goes smoothly as well. Time for the wedding! The moment Patricia walks down the aisle and the couple sees each other for the first time is beautiful. Stephan gets a little teary-eyed, and Patricia also starts to beam when she sees her groom for the first time. Their first meeting couldn’t have gone better! The officiant’s speech is regularly interrupted by the cheerful couple for fun and funny little exchanges. We’ve never seen a MAFS couple connect with each other in such a delightful way right from the very start. We’ll find out in the next episode whether Patricia and Stephan will also say “I do” to each other.

After the heated conversation Remco and Paula had with expert Patrick in the previous episode, they decided to spend the day apart. The couple needs some space to sort out their own thoughts. Over breakfast, the two talk things over briefly. Paula mentions that she did notice some anger on Remco’s part during the conversation with Patrick. Remco confirms this and admits he’s also feeling some anger because he ’s so disappointed with how the experiment with his match is going. After breakfast, Remco decides to go for a good bike ride while Paula stays at the hotel to relax. After Remco returns, the couple goes swimming together, and Remco wants to talk things over with Paula. We’ve seen this scenario before this season, of course, and it didn’t work out well for that couple. Remco mentioned that there was something on his mind that he hadn’t shared during his conversation with Patrick either. Nervously, he tells Paula that she isn’t his match. He was looking for a true sportswoman and is therefore disappointed that the experts didn’t really find him a sportswoman in Paula. So it seems the couple still can’t seem to get any closer, but the preview for the next episode does offer a glimmer of hope.

Laura and Cathalijne wake up together after their wedding and set off on their honeymoon. The newlyweds come across as very relaxed and calm. Because of this, it might seem as though they ’re deliberately keeping a little distance, but as soon as the honeymoon begins, we regularly see them hugging and kissing and playfully teasing each other. On the first day of their honeymoon, the ladies do something they both really enjoy: visiting an animal shelter and walking the dogs. For both Laura and Cathalijne, animals are very important in their lives, and this is a common interest they both share. The ladies are already starting to fantasize about adopting a dog together. They both clearly envision a “house, tree, and pet” kind of life.

Loes & Wichian are enjoying a creative afternoon on sunny Tenerife. They attend a ceramics workshop together, where they once again have a lot of fun. A little later, Loes finally strikes up a conversation with Wichian. She tells him openly and honestly that she feels her insecurities are starting to resurface a bit. The two get along well and can talk easily with each other. Loes feels that Wichian is getting closer to her . She has lost several people in her life, which has left her with a fear of losing people. She’s now starting to feel this way toward Wichian as well. Loes wants to explore this feeling and see how she can grow in this area. One thing is certain: this couple is a master at communication. It’s incredibly impressive that they’re able to talk openly together about their insecurities. Loes and Wichian really like each other, and they’re open about it. We see a couple who are building an incredibly strong foundation together!
