That’s the question in the new SBS6 show *Wedding in a Week*. Singles are given one week to find out if the partner they’ve chosen is truly marriage material. And if they make it to day seven together? A proposal might just follow.
What is Wedding in a Week?
In *Wedding in a Week? *, singles move into a luxury villa with a match of their own choosing. They then spend seven days together 24/7.
That week isn’t just about going on fun dates.
Family, friends, finances, the desire to have children, plans for the future, deal-breakers, and guilty pleasures: topics that might normally take you months to discuss are now covered in just one week. Participants also receive help from a relationship coach and a financial expert, among others.
Every 24 hours, they must decide anew whether they want to continue together. If they choose each other again on day six, a proposal may follow on day seven.
Seven days. One match. And maybe a wedding at the end.

In Deurne, you’ll find the largest bridal fashion store, spanning approximately 11,000 m², where we have more than 4,500 wedding dresses in stock. From princess to mermaid styles , and from couture to long-sleeved designs to dresses featuring plenty of lace. This is the location of *Say Yes To The Dress*. Men can also come here to find their wedding suits and all the matching accessories.
Valkenburg
Koonings Valkenburg is located in a truly special place: a castle. Here, the fitting experience revolves around a smaller, more intimate setting with private suites. And although the stores are different, brides here also have access to the entire collection from Deurne. Dresses can be specially shipped to Valkenburg.
Fortunately, our brides usually have a little more than seven days to plan their weddings. With “Wedding in a Week?”, that’s not the case. And that’s exactly why our in-house atelier is so important. As soon as the dress is chosen, our seamstresses can get right to work tailoring it for the wedding.
Because for these couples, the time between their first date and getting married can suddenly go by very quickly.

We won’t know which wedding dresses will ultimately be featured on *Wedding in a Week* until we film the show.
At Koonings, participants get the chance to try on different styles. Maybe it’ll be an A-line dress, a fitted dress, or a modern, clean look . Or perhaps the dress that wasn’t even on the mood board to begin with will turn out to be “the one.”
Our stylists help the participants find a dress that suits them. Just as we do every day with our brides.
And the men? Their wedding outfits also come from Koonings. That way, the dress and the suit can complement each other perfectly without them having to see each other before the big day.
